Share a dashboard with a link
Sheetavo is built for fast collaboration: you build a dashboard, copy a secure URL, and send it to teammates, clients, or stakeholders. Viewers explore interactive charts, use filters, and step through data in Present mode — all in the browser, without installing Power BI, Tableau, or creating a Sheetavo account.
What recipients experience with a share link
A Sheetavo share link is a full interactive dashboard experience — not a static PDF or screenshot. Recipients get:
- Interactive charts and KPI cards — live charts synced to the dataset, with hover tooltips and clear values.
- Filters — dropdown and date range filters let viewers drill down by category, region, date, and other dimensions.
- Data table — sortable and filterable table of all rows in the dataset (if included in the dashboard).
- Present mode — fullscreen chart walk-through for meetings, accessible directly from the share URL.
- AI insights — if the dashboard includes an AI insights section, viewers read the same summary the builder sees.
- No account required — on standard share flows, recipients open the link and start exploring immediately.
Security and privacy controls
Share links in Sheetavo are private by default — only accessible to people who have the URL. On paid plans, you can add optional password protection so that even people with the URL must enter a password to view the dashboard. This is useful for:
- Sensitive financial data shared with board members or investors.
- Client-facing dashboards with commercially sensitive performance data.
- Internal dashboards shared outside the immediate team.
You can manage and revoke active share links at any time from the dashboard settings. Revoking a link immediately prevents further access for anyone who had the previous URL.
Plan limits to know
Free plans include a limited number of share links and a shorter expiry window — for example, links may expire after 3 days on the Free plan. Paid plans remove most of those limits and add password protection and longer expiry options. See Pricing for the current feature matrix.
Sharing for different audiences
- Internal teams — share with your direct team for regular reviews; use Present mode in weekly standups.
- Leadership and board — share a link in the board pack email; Present mode handles the live meeting.
- Clients and partners — share with optional password protection; recipients need no account or licence.
- Public dashboards — sample or portfolio dashboards can be shared publicly without a password.
